A public forum and Pennsylvania Historic Marker dedication ceremony

Spring Hollow Golf Club, Spring City, PA

Join us as we explore the controversial history of the former institution, Pennhurst State School and Hospital, and commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the landmark settlement agreement in Halderman v. Pennhurst, the lawsuit which led to the institution's closure following allegations of abuse and neglect of residents. 

A TWO-PART event:

1:00 - 3:30pm - A Public Forum featuring leaders from the disability community (SOLD OUT)

3:30 - 4:00 pm - Pennhurst State School and Hospital Pennsylvania Historic Marker Dedication

This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited -

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Registered participants' names will be held on a list at the door.  Only those on the list will be admitted.

Directions to the Spring Hollow Golf Course:

From King of Prussia area:
Route 202 S to route 422 W to the Linfield-Limerick exit. Left at end of off ramp to the traffic light. Right onto Linfield Road, changes to Main St, for 2.2 miles to Y intersection. Bear left to traffic light at Route 724. Turn left 1.1 miles to entrance on right.

From Reading/Pottstown area: Route 422 east to the route 724 exit. Left onto route 724 for 4.3 miles to entrance on the right.

From WestChester/Exton area: Route 100 N to route 113 N to route 23. Left (west) on route 23 for 1.1 miles to "Y" intersection with route 724. Bear right onto route 724 for 4.5 miles to the entrance on the left.

From WestChester/Exton area(Alternate): Route 100 N to Route 23. Right (east) on route 23 fpr 4 miles to Bridge Street.  Make left onto Bridge Street and follow to route 724.  Make left onto route 724 for 1 block to the entrance on left.
